Other professional interestsIn 2004 David went to China to take part in the Sino - UK seminar on Evidence Disclosure and Criminal Defence Lawyers Rights. David has addressed the Institute of Expert Witnesses on the new rules governing disclosure of defence experts under the CJA 2003. In February 2005 David gave a lecture on bad character at Butterworth's conference "Updating the CJA 2003". He has taught advocacy both in the UK and South Africa. He frequently represents members of the Bar before Disciplinary Tribunals. SocietiesDavid has been elected as Leader of the South Eastern Circuit (2007-2008). He is also a member of the CBA Committee, the GMC, the Bar Council, the 'Carter group' and the DCA's High Cost Cases Review Board.
